01-Saying Thanks
This photo was taken at the interment of my father-in-law. He served during the Vietnam War. He always seemed a bit eccentric to me and I probably didn't appeciate him as much as I should have while he was alive. However, this photo captures the respect that the military has for one of their brothers, eccentric or not. My appreciation increased that day.
Features adjustments using Photoshop Camera Raw:
- Cropped to emphasize the servicemen and the flag that they are folding. They are surrounded by those watching.
- Slightly rotated the image counterclockwise.
- Brightened the image and increased the contrast and increased the greens and reds, hoping to add to the emphasis on the servicemen and the flag.
- Made adjustments to the radius, detail, and masking sharpening settings and adjusted luminance noise reduction settings. I really wanted to bring out the detail of the servicemen uniforms.
- Made defringe adjustments for purple and green.
